LG, what do we think when we hear them 2 letters some think kitchen appliances or TVs. Well, LG has been well known for making top quality home appliances such as cookers and washing machines even TV’s but they have been making mobile phones also. For some of the phones, they have produced on the market today is another tick on the check list for this company in keeping up on its good name.

The LG Nitro operating system is the Android v2.3.5 (gingerbread) and it is running a dual-core 1.5Ghz scorpion processor with a 4gb internal memory making this a fast running phone giving it fast start-up times and smooth loading of applications with plenty of room and power for adding more applications.

The display

The LG nitro comes with a crystal clear 4.5-inch 1280 x 720 AH-IPS display and gives perfect viewing in bright lit areas.

The camera

On the LG Nitro HD’s back it has a 8 MP, 3264×2448 pixels, autofocus, camera and the features to go with this camera are Geo-tagging, face and smile detection also 1080p video recording.

You won’t find much fault when taking pictures with its 8mp camera it takes some really nice pictures in the day light and also it has a LED flash to give pretty clear pictures in darker areas.

Getting on the internet

This phone comes with the now standard connections such as the 3G HSDPA and 4G LTE service. It will also connect you to the internet via Wi-Fi so you will be able to send the photos you have taken with the phones 8MP camera to friends and family or upload them to your Facebook page and with the connections you are able to use uploading photos are very quick.

The Pros

The LG Nitro HD is a pretty cool phone in terms of its performance and specs and its clear photo snapping. The phone is fast in start-up time and loading applications and with its MicroSD slot you are able to put in a max 32GB of extra memory giving you more room to snap many more photos or add your favorite music.

With the 1.5Ghz processor and the 4GB memory it gives you that extra power to add more applications without the worry of the phone slowing down or crashing and always have plenty of room to multi-task.

The Cons

The phone looks a little sad looking and needs a little brightening, up a little more with some color or a better finish. The battery life is a little poor considering it has a 1.5Ghz dual core chip to handle and as for the camera it lacks the zero shutter lag tech.

Bottom line

If you are not bothered about the phones looks or not a heavy user of all its power then this is a cracking phone. with the LG Nitro HD with all its power and fast start-up time, it might be worth spending that little extra for an extra battery and charging station to keep the phone going all day.

All in all like any company who produce mobile phones or any electronic devices, LG still has plenty of room to improve on its mobile phone product line. But other than that LG has come out with yet another cracking phone and doing their best to keep in line with what the customer needs.

The name Huawei maybe a brand that most people may not heard of unless you have had one of their mobile broadband USB dongles. Huawei has been making mobile phones for a long time and partly the reason why we never hear of the name is because they are mostly re-branded to the networks name such as t-mobile but in reality the phone is a Huawei.

But now Huawei are starting to bring their own phones out on the market with their name on the phone and now they have come out with a reasonably nice phone – the Huawei Blaze that offers pretty much the same kind of specs as the Samsung galaxy series.

Pros

The phone has quite a nice look and well designed on the front. It offers a bright and clear 3.2-inch display at a resolution of 320×480 and on the back it has a 3.2MP camera. This phone comes with the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) platform. For Internet connection it comes with the 3G HSDPA service. It gives a connection speed of 7.2Mbps depending on your network. It has Wifi. As for the memory it has a 256MB RAM 512MB flash and a SD card slot offering up to 16GB extended memory.

The Blaze also comes with a number of apps for online and offline use.

Cons

This phone is lagging behind the others such as the HTC and Samsung. The camera is a little low in the mega-pixels and it lacks on memory.

Bottom line

This phone is perfect for someone who is new in using smartphone. For someone who wants to try out the Android phones and is perfect to those who just wants to have a piece of the smartphone world without it being too serious like the HTC sensation.

It is perfect for someone as a birthday gift and is able to keep the Facebook lovers online when away from their home or office computer while using the 3G HSDPA service or Wi-Fi. Also, the phone is well designed, well made and looks cool. It also comes in 3 different colours like black, silver and pink.

It is an all in all a perfect gift or for someone who wants a taste of the smartphone with a low budget.

Motorola is one good maker of mobile phones in the world. There have been loads of phone models under this brand. Not only that, when a person get hold of a Motorola phone rest assured that it will be something worth using for every single day.

With the dawn of Android phones coming into the market today, Motorola has been one of the most sought after brands bringing into the market nothing but honest to goodness superb phones. One super cool Android phone under the umbrella of Motorola is the Motorola Droid 4. By its name alone, you will be able to dissect that indeed it is a good phone to have especially with all its features.

The Motorola Droid 4 has some of the same features and look as the Motorola Droid Razr but with the Droid 4 it comes with a slide out QWERTY keyboard and a 4.0-inch screen capable of delivering QHD resolution. Sony Ericsson is a well known brand of mobile phones and known for high quality and feels good phones. With most of the modern phones out now a days, Sony Ericsson is always on the ball when it comes to getting it right.

Sony Ericsson has been known to build their phones really well. The finished product are made with clean lines and always jam-packed with a lot of features even on most of their older models.

Introduction

Again, Sony Ericsson has done it again with the XPERIA series and come out with the Sony Ericsson Xperia ION. This is another cool sexy looking phone. Sony Ericsson is one brand that never stops surprising its customers with its new phones. The company always seems to come out with a phone that looks and feels better than the last. They are also making the phones fully packed with features and this is something that Sony Ericsson has done for years.

Pros

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Ion is another wonderful Android phone from the Xperia series offering so much more. This is a powerful phone with its 1.5Ghz processor giving you fast app loading and start-up time. Also, with this phone you are able to take some really high quality photos with its whopping 12MP camera. One of the cool features on this camera is the 3D sweep panorama giving you cool 3D like pictures it also offers HD quality video recording.

All in all, this phone is a really cool multimedia phone with so much to offer

Cons

As with many android phones, the smaller and thinner they get the battery life gets shorter but other than it does not have many flaws.

Conclusion

Overall, this is a sweet looking phone well built, slim with a nice finish and packs a lot of features. It’s a perfect phone for day to day use and good for checking emails or the facebook updates. With its whopping 12MP camera makes it even more special.

HTC is a well known brand that delivers some really nice phones. Their phones are well built, well designed and made to please the user’s eye. They have also put a lot of effort into keeping their phones easy to use, making life for its user easy when it comes to finding the app you want and also adding the most common apps a person would need.

The HTC Sensation XE is the newer version of the HTC Sensation offering a little more. With the Sensation, they have designed this phone to stand out more from its past models by adding some nice dark red around the camera and with a red beats audio logo and redesigned the battery cover so it makes it look a little different from its older model.

Again, the design of this phone is outstanding. It is a light slim and well designed phone. With its size and weight, it makes some people wonder where they put all the phone’s workings but HTC has made this phone to look pleasing on the eye and most importantly comfortable for the user.

The HTC Sensation XE’s Performance

This phone is powered by a Dual-cure 1.5Ghz scorpion processor with a 4GB memory (1GB user available), making this a fast phone when loading apps or start-up time. The HTC sensation XE comes with an 8MP also offering 1080p HD video recording giving you high quality photos and videos. Pros

This phone has an extendable memory slot. It takes a MicroSD upto 32GB. It is perfect for saving all photos and video recordings. The phone has all you need to get you online where ever you are. It can connect to the HSDPA (3G) network so where ever you have a good mobile phone signal. You are able to connect to the internet. It will allow you to connect to any available WIFI network. The phone is packed with all the social media so you are able to check your Facebook or check your emails in Gmail and much more.

The sound quality is amazing providing you have the beats audio headset that comes with the phone. The beats audio offers high quality sound, crisp and clear that will get you rocking.

This phone is powered by the 1.5Ghz processor and the android v2.3.4 (gingerbread) platform.

Cons

HTC has upgraded the battery to a higher spec from its past sensation series but sadly the battery is not that good. For a phone with its kind of power and features HTC really need to go back to the drawing board and deal with its battery issue. But then again the phones are getting slimmer and smaller and sadly that means loosing something within the phone and in this case it’s the battery time made shorter.

The camera autofocus can be a little erratic at times and also has some issues with resizing videos for sending with MMS.

Bottom line

HTC has given this phone the perfect name for it. With all its nice design, how it feels and with all its power that’s being given by its 1.5Ghz dual-core processor, and the wonderful display, it is all worth it.

If you are looking for a phone that can take really good pictures and play your favorite songs in nice quality sound plus offering much to your needs to get online to view your Facebook or emails. It has a good feel on the hand; the HTC sensation XE has nailed it.

LG is well known for making home appliances and for producing high quality products. But what are their mobile phones like in terms of quality? Well, LG when they first started to come out with mobile phone products, they built the phones well and came out with some good designed phones like the LG shine.

Of course when a company like LG starts a new product line it takes a little time for them to catch up with the latest and what the customer expects out of the product they plan to buy. LG has done well that they have caught up pretty fast and got them self up on the ladder and now offering a number of nice phones.

The Viper 4G is another well designed, well built phone, very pleasing on the eye and easy to use. Plus, it is also very comfortable to use.

The LG Viper 4G is powered by a 1.2Ghz dual-core processor and a 4gb internal memory making this phone pretty fast for all your needed apps and start-up. Too compliment this phone, it is running the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system.

On the front, it has a 4-inch 800×480 touch screen display and VGA front-facing camera perfect for video calling. On the back, it has a 5 mega-pixel camera featuring 1080p video recording. The camera has a LED flash for better night time photo snapping. This phone has a 1700mAh battery giving that little extra talk time that some phones of this kind lack.

The camera could do with a few more mega-pixels but all in all this is a cracking phone. Android Phone Review – HTC Rezound

HTC is a brand that has emerged to be one of the key players in the cell phone industry. The brand offers good quality, well designed and well built phones. HTC is also known to address the needs of each customer when making new phones that are easy to use, comfortable to handle and most importantly easy to operate.

Design

This phone comes with a nice 4.3-inch with 1280-720 res super LCD touch screen, and it all comes in a nice clean line finish. It is a well built phone but only come in at around 6 ounces in weight making the phone feel rock solid and not fall to bits any time soon.

Specs and Performance

When it comes to specs, the Rezound is a beast. The dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor and 16GB internal memory keeps the phone running fast. It is great for running graphics-intensive games such as Grand Theft Auto 3 and Dead Space.

Its internet connection comes with Wi-Fi so if you are out and about in a shopping mall or at Starbucks, you can jump online using Wi-fi and if no Wi-Fi is available the phone can connect to the 3G or 4G network. No matter where you are this phone offers a way to get them important email checked or updating the Facebook. The camera is 8MP with auto-focus offering some really nice photo taking.

Software

The Rezound runs HTC Sense over Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and comes with a handful of preloaded software. Slacker Radio, Polaris Office, and Blockbuster Mobile are some of the apps that do all come preinstalled.

Entertainment

If you are someone who likes listening to Music on the go you will be interested to know that the Rezound offers the Beats Audio technology for better listening. With beats audio headset, the beats audio software will give you more enhanced sound quality so listening to your favorite tracks will sound amazing.

Bottom line

If you are someone who doesn’t like to carry so many items like digital camera and MP3 player and who also wants to check emails online when out and about, this is a perfect phone that offers everything you need. Features like music player and a digital camera plus be able to get online where there is a 3G/4G or a Wi-Fi signal. So, all in all this is a pretty cool phone for day to day use.

The only draw back about this phone is the battery run time if you are only a light user when it comes to calls and internet access then the phone is good for all day use. But if you are a heavy internet user or music listener, then the phone lacks the battery power. At the end of the day, its something we live with when we want powerful phone that is light and slimmer.

Android Phone Review – Motorola Droid Bionic

Motorola is a well known mobile phone maker all over the world and have a good reputation for making phones that are well built and comfortable and easy to use With Motorola, they are always getting better as each new phone comes out on the market.

About the Motorola Droid Bionic

The phone has a high quality feel to it and feels well constructed. It also features a rubberized battery cover and makes it feel nicer to handle. Oh? The design is not as much fun as Motorola Photon 4G that has a futuristic look to it but the Droid Bionic is one of the slimmest in this range of phones.

The Software

The software on this phone is built for fun and business. Droid Bionic runs the latest version of Android, 2.3.4 (Gingerbread). It has Motorola’s custom-built MotoBlur widgets including the social networking widget which puts all of your account profiles into a single view on your home screen.

Another useful piece of software installed to this phone is the ZumoCast that allows you to access your files remotely on your PC/Laptop without having the need to upload or sync your files. You can access everything such as movies photos or office documents. All these can be done on your Bionic. It comes with plenty of memory installed (1GB of Ram 16GB of on-board Memory and plus comes with a 16GB preinstalled MicroSD card). What makes this phone more interesting is you can access your files without having to download them to the device or use any of them cloud services.

The performance

Bionic takes around 40 seconds from the time you switch it on to the time you are able to make a call or access menus so the speed on start-up is reasonable. But once the phone is up and running then you get to see the real performance of the Bionic. The menus load up quick and loading of apps are fast and with no lag or stutter. Loading internet pages are reasonably fast over a Wi-fi network and the 3G/4G services. Therefore, getting into that email inbox to check that important email is quick and all this is powered by the Dual-Core 1Ghz Cortex-A9 processor and chipset Nvidia Tegra 2 AP10h.

The Camera

With most of the new smartphones on the market, the Droid Bionic comes with an 8-MP camera. It can also capture video at 1080p HD so all in all a good spec camera.

The image quality is very good with the Bionics camera and it comes with all the standard features such as auto-focus and Dual LED flash and Geo-tagging, face detection, image stabilization.

Bottom line

This is a pretty fast phone. The Bionic comes with many accessories such as the docking station that allows you to access the full features of the phone on a PC/Laptop and many other things. With the Zumocast software, it makes it easier to access your files remotely without the need to download them to the phone or using one of them cloud services

Android Phone Review – Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro Black

Sony Ericcson has done well over the years with their phones and has come out with some really nice phones. The thing about Sony Ericsson is they know how to make phones. The phones are well built, have a nice finish plus the phones are so easy for the customers to use. They do make the phones more entertaining.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro black is another example of quality that Sony Ericsson has added to their list. The design of this phone is sleek and well finished. Although, its a little bulky due to the slide out keyboard but still a well designed phone.

A Little More About The Xperia Pro Black

Well, it comes with a touch screen measures at 3.7 inches, it also supports around 16.7 M colors, has a resolution display of about 854×480-pixel. This gives the phone a nice look when viewing photos or playing around with the apps.

The phone is also packing a Snapdragon processor at 1Ghz, equipped with Sony Bravia as the graphics engine plus using the latest Android version Gingerbread, and has an internal memory of 320MB. It is a quick running phone with a high quality display feature and the memory is extendable to 32GB MicroSD. This gives you that extra storage.

The phone comes with 8MP camera and a 2MP front facing camera for video calling, the 8-MP camera comes with the standard features such asLED flash, auto focus and Video calling, among others.

To get you online, it has the standard features what most smartphones do offer such as Wi-Fi and 3G HSDPA. Therefore, getting online to send a quick email or uploading photos to your Facebook is possible with this phone.
